Candidate and New Designee Development
This committee is responsible for developing programs to encourage candidates to seek the CPCU designation and promote CPCU society membership to both candidates and new designees. Committee volunteers will mentor our candidates and new designees and encourage them to participate in Central MA Chapter functions. Members of this committee will work closely with the Events and Programs committee to organize activities such as our candidate and new designee reception and local conferment ceremony. Additionally, they serve as a contact for questions from new designees, candidates, and students.

Communications and Visibility
This committee is responsible for coordinating the creation and distribution of email and print communications both internally and externally. Members of this committee will oversee publications in The Standard insurance newsmagazine and other press. Committee volunteers will work closely with the Events and Programs Committee to create a plan and carry out the marketing of chapter member meetings, programs and special events to the appropriate audiences.

Education
This committee is responsible for developing educational programs to meet the chapter’s professional and career development needs, as well as the sourcing of speakers, content and continuing education (CE) approval. Members of this committee work closely with the Events and Programs Committee and the Candidate and New Designee Development Committee to ensure that the content of each educational event meets the needs of individuals at various stages of their careers. Committee volunteers will select event topics, manage the CE application process for each event, and maintain relationships with current and potential speakers.

Events and Programs
This committee is responsible for planning and implementing chapter meetings and networking events in order to engage current and prospective members. Members of this committee will work closely with the Education Committee in planning professional and educational offerings. Committee volunteers will also support the Candidate and New Designee Development Committee in planning any events. This committee also organizes and facilitates our annual golf tournament.
Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS) Student Chair
The Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS) Student Chair serves as a liaison between GIS students the Central MA CPCU chapter and community, supporting students in their academic and professional development. This role involves fostering engagement, facilitating membership opportunities, and assisting students in accessing resources that enhance their career development. The Chair collaborates with industry professionals, organizes networking events, and provides guidance to GIS student members, ensuring they have the tools and connections to succeed.

This committee is responsible for any Good Works projects that will benefit our community. Members of this committee coordinate all volunteer efforts and help promote the chapter throughout central Massachusetts. Committee volunteers are responsible for all donations to deserving charitable organizations.

Membership
This committee is responsible for promoting the value of the Society and chapter membership and maintaining the membership records. Members of this committee will develop and maintain a chapter recruitment plan that ensures continued growth through proactive recruiting. Additionally, committee volunteers will implement the annual member survey and make recommendations based on survey results. This committee will review and suggest improvements regarding membership benefits and value on a regular basis.

Scholarship
This committee coordinates our scholarship award program. Members of this committee are responsible for developing the scholarship criteria, overseeing the application process and establishing a scholarship selection committee to evaluate the candidates.

Web Communications/Social Media
This committee maintains our online presence by managing our chapter website and social media channels. Members of this committee are responsible for reviewing our chapter website content for necessary updates, keeping social media channels updated, and posting and removing content as needed. Committee volunteers will need to maintain a channel of communication with officers and members to gather and post appropriate content. The Web Communications/Social Media committee is key in generating awareness of chapter activities and increasing chapter visibility.
